People from across Lancashire are being invited to the launch of a stunning new exhibition by local artist Jessica Sammon.
Jessica runs Jessica Jayne Design from the Artists’ Studios at the Haworth Art Gallery in Accrington and has carved and printed a variety of nature-inspired lino and woodblock prints to celebrate the gallery’s unique collection of traditional printing blocks.
The exhibition will launch on Saturday (April 6) and Jessica is inviting everyone to view her art.
Visitors will be welcomed with a drink and can then go on a personalised tour of the studios, housed in the Haworth’s listed historic former stables.
The open day will be from 12pm until 3pm, but the gallery will be open to visitors until 4.30pm.
The exhibition was intended to be on show until May 5, but it has now been extended until early June due to popular demand.
Jessica said: “Everyone is welcome to come along, and they can even have a go at a free printing activity on the day.”
Haworth Arts Gallery famed for its collection of Tiffany Glass, is open from Wednesday to Sunday, 12pm to 4.30pm.
