A fish and chip shop in Clitheroe is selling a deep-fried Easter treat that has divided customers.

Castle Chippy, in Moor Lane, is selling battered Cadbury Creme Eggs over the Easter period.

The fish and chip shop says the treats are “like Marmite” for customers – meaning some love them and others do not.

The treats are only around for a limited time and are on sale for £1 each.

A spokesperson said: “It’s a limited offering for the Easter period they cost £1.

"We also offer battered Mars Bars for £1.40, as part of our main menu.

“Don’t walk, run to get them, because once they have gone, they really have gone.”

A spokesperson for the business said: “We are grateful for all the support from our staff and customers.

“A huge congratulations to all the other winners and finalists and a massive thank you to the sponsors, and organisers for making this an exceptional event.”
