Emergency teams closed one lane due to a crash on the M55.
The incident happened earlier this afternoon (Tuesday) on the eastbound carriageway at junction 1 A6 Garstang Road (Fulwood) and M6 junction 32 (Broughton Interchange).
Delays affected drivers joining the M6 from the M55.
Traffic was returning to normal levels again close to junction 1.
