This photo from February 1987 was taken to show two businesses which were to be demolished as a new road layout came to Accrington.
You are looking on Melbourne Street and both Corners public house on the junction with Water Street and K and J Delicatessen on the opposite corner were scheduled to come down. The redevelopment work would see the creation of Eastgate.
