Children attending a clash between two Lancashire football teams on Good Friday will receive a free Easter egg.

Accrington Stanley and Accrington-based training provider North Lancs Training Group (NLTG) have announced the return of their egg-stra special Easter egg giveaway, which will see under 12s attending Stanley's home game against Morecambe on Good Friday receive a free Easter egg.

More than 300 eggs will be handed out inside the stadium on a first come first served basis, with fans also encouraged to come and get a picture in the NLTG Easter selfie frame.

Young Morecambe supporters are also being invited to get an egg ahead of the Good Friday clash.

This will be the second consecutive year that NLTG has worked with Accrington Stanley on the initiative, with young fans of both Accrington Stanley and Port Vale thoroughly enjoying their chocolate treats in 2023.

David Burgess, managing director at Accrington Stanley said: "We would like to say a huge thank you to Gareth and the NLTG team for donating the eggs for the Easter egg giveaway once again this year.

"It always goes down extremely well with our young supporters and what a way to start our big derby against Morecambe!

Gareth Lindsay, managing director at NLTG, said: "We are delighted to be involved in this great community initiative once again this year.

"The response we got in 2023 was amazing and we are looking forward to seeing more happy smiley faces at the Wham stadium on Good Friday."

NLTG will be running a number of generous giveaways this Easter, which will include further Easter egg donations to local community groups and charities.

Accrington Stanley's match against Morecambe at the Wham Stadium kicks off at 3pm on Friday March 29.
