A group men forced their way into a house and assaulted the occupants during an aggravated burglary in Nelson.
Officers were called shortly before 10.30am on Tuesday (March 12) to a property in Hargreaves Street to reports that the men had forced their way in and assaulted those living there.
During searches of the house, police found a phone and a SIM card which they suspect to be linked to drug dealing.
Nobody has been arrested at this stage.
A Lancashire Police spokesperson said: “We know this news will be of some concern to residents and we want to reassure you this is being treated as a targeted and isolated incident.
"However, we continue to have an increased number of officers in the area as a precaution.”
