A MAN appeared on the court list at Blackburn magistrates twice on the same day - once as the defendant and once as the victim.
Levi Broadbent, 20, of Amersham Grove, Burnley, was charged with attempted kidnap of an unknown person, making threats to kill Mohammed Haroon, and two charges of threatening Mohammed Haroon with a machete which relate to different times on the same day. All the charges are from February 26.
A 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is charged with wounding Levi Broadbent with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm and possession of a machete in Colne Road, Burnley. Both offences were allegedly committed on February 27.
The court heard that following the incident on February 27 Broadbent had spent several days in hospital receiving treatment for his wounds.
Broadbent was sent in custody to Burnley Crown Court, where he will appear on April 3.
The juvenile was remitted to the youth court and remanded on bail in the meantime.
