Traffic was held for almost an hour on the M65 earlier today (March 10) after a crash between a car and the central reservation.
Drivers heading westbound were held from around 10.30am between junction 7 (Accrington) and junction 6 (Blackburn).
The eastbound carriageway was also briefly held while recovery work was ongoing.
Multiple ambulances attended the scene after the driver of a black car crashed into the central reservation.

The front end of the car was heavily damaged as was the motorway barrier.
Police officers were also on the scene assisting and controlling the traffic.
Traffic was released on the eastbound carriageway at around 10.50am, while the westbound side started moving around half an hour later.
Details of any injuries or how the crash occurred are not yet known.
Both Lancashire Police and North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) have been approached for further information.
