Comedian Eshaan Akbar is heading to Darwen as part of a UK wide tour in the coming year.

Kicking off in Milton Keynes on  February 2025, Eshaan will then take in a further 37 dates across the UK before closing in London at the iconic Hackney Empire in April 2025.

Ehsan will be at the Darwen Library Theatre on Saturday, March 8.

Following on from his acclaimed debut tour of The Pretender, Eshaan is getting ready to once again bring his unique and insightful comedy to audiences across the country.

Having previously worked as a banker, a policy adviser, a speechwriter and a journalist, Eshaan has performed three sell out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, as well as sell out London transfers at London’s Soho Theatre.

He also appeared in the Netflix series 'Sex Education', as Principal Lakhani in the show's fourth and final season.

He  has opened for Micky Flanagan, and has supported the likes of Jason Manford, Sindhu Vee, Adam Rowe, Dan Nightingale, Kae Kurd, Tez Ilyas, Dane Baptiste, Hal Cruttenden, Jan Ravens and Rory Bremner on tour.

Eshaan said: “I’m doing another tour because it’s one way of creating more work for myself and to give you all something to do.

"Last tour, I played to tens and tens of you, can’t wait for it be twenties and twenties of you this time round.

"I can promise you, my show will be better than doing nothing - that’s a minimum guarantee. I’ve appeared in Animals Do The Funniest Things you know.”

Tickets went on sale on Friday, March 1, and are available from eshaanakbar.com.
