An East Lancashire company which played a vital role in the levelling up of Accrington town square said it is thankful for the chance to inject “excitement back into the town.”

Media Village, based in Accrington, created, developed, and installed the new 200ft banner in Broadway, amongst a brand new heritage-led brand to see it through its transition, ongoing content creation, and a new website to keep the Hyndburn community informed and involved.

The project was close to the heart of the company’s creative manager, Nathan Littler, who grew up in the borough and is now raising his son here.

Nathan said: “This was a project I was emotionally invested in from the start.

"It was a pleasure to work with both Hannah Saxton at Hyndburn Borough Council and my colleague Melissa McCann, alongside the wider MV team, as we regenerated and injected some excitement back into the town.”

Melissa, a creative lead at the company, added: “I loved the opportunity to be a part of this bold and vibrant campaign that highlights the rich history and unique nuances of what makes Accrington the community it is today.”

Hannah Saxton added: “Facing the flip side of a pandemic and more than £60m of funding announced for new regeneration projects meant that Accrington and Hyndburn are facing a time of change.

“Media Village have worked with us on many projects, with their team equally ambitious and happy to do things a little differently, which is what we always strive for.

“[They are] always impeccable quality work and they have felt like an extension of my team over the years.”
