Police are warning people to be "extra vigilant" after two Ford Fiestas were stolen from town centre care parks in broad daylight.
Officers in Burnley say that two Ford Fiestas, thought to be 2017 models or similar, were stolen from car parks in Burnley town centre.
The cars are believed to have been locked and secured, with the owners still in possession of the keys.
Police are now advising motorists to try and keep their vehicles secure by using steering wheel locks and immobilisers.
A spokesperson for the police said: "Please be extra vigilant.
"If you own a Ford Fiesta 2017 or similar model we have had two vehicles recently stolen from Burnley town centre car parks.
"Both these vehicles have been locked and secure with the aggrieved person still in possession of the keys. They have been stolen during day light hours.
"Please be mindful of extra security options available to you including steering wheel locks, alarms and immobilisers.
"If you have any information about the recent thefts please contact 101 and quote reference number 04/36189/24."
