It its heyday more than 2,000 people could enjoy a show at the Palace Hippodrome Theatre in Burnley.
This photo is from November 1967 when the impressive building was a bingo hall. It had been built in 1907 and over the years was both a theatre and cinema.
Artists ranging from Cliff Richard to Jimmy Clitheroe performed there.
There were initial plans to retain it as the town's public theatre but that proved too costly. It was demolished in 1973 and Woolworth’s was built on the site.
