A man has been arrested after "admitting to carrying a knife" at Preston Station.
Officers were about to carry out a stop and search of a man at the station when he made the admission.
Police also reported that the man was carrying an extendable baton.
He was also arrested on suspicion of possession of criminal property, after police found £7,000 in cash.
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “County lines task force officers were about to carry out a stop search of a man at Preston Station when he admitted he had a knife on him.
“He was arrested for that, plus for an offensive weapon (extendable baton), plus suspicion of possession of criminal property (£7,000 cash).”
