Recently in Looking Back we carried a photo of Bull Bridge in Accrington in the Sixties.
Today we have a different view of the town centre from the bottom of Burnley Road looking down Broadway.
On the right is the Odeon Cinema, later the Classic, and on the left Catlow’s fruit and veg market which was something of an institution in the town for many years.
It’s interesting to see the cars parked in front of Woolworth’s and Marks and Spencer on Broadway which was open to two-way traffic.
Did you get your fruit and veg from Catlow's?
