A Blackburn man is to stand trial after he denied strangling and assaulting a woman.
Damien Thompson, 38, of Borrowdale Avenue, Blackburn, pleaded not guilty to both charges against him at Preston Sessions House yesterday (Wednesday, February 28).
Thompson pleaded not guilty to one count of strangulation and one count of assault by beating.
The court heard how it is alleged the incident took place on July 9 2023.
Setting a trial date of March 25, 2025, Judge Andrew Jeffries KC granted Thompson bail until then.
