A man has been summonsed to appear in court following an incident in Barnoldswick in November.
Leigh Andrew Fullard, from Nelson, will appear at Blackburn Magistrates' Court in May for two counts of assault and one count of using threatening behaviour.
The alleged offences occurred on the canal towpath in Barnoldswick last year.
The officer in charge of the case said that the alleged attack happened in broad daylight and they thanked the public for their help with the police appeal.
