Celebrity Big Brother is set to return to our screens next week and rumours have been flying about which famous faces are set to take part.

Some East Lancashire celebrities, including Darwen TikTok star Max Balegde,  have been mentioned as part of the rumoured line-up.

Burnley's Jordan North was among the celebs rumoured to be entering the house, but these have been squashed after being revealed as a ‘houseguest’ on Celebrity Big Brother: Late and Live, which airs after the main show.

A Celebrity Big Brother spokesperson said: "Any names are at this point pure speculation and viewers will have to tune to see who will be entering the Celebrity Big Brother house."

ITV has revealed that the new series will start on Monday, March 4.

Hosted by Will Best and Blackburn’s AJ Odudu, Celebrity Big Brother: Live Launch will reveal the new cast of famous faces who are entering the iconic Big Brother house, as they embark on the ultimate social experiment and become isolated from the outside world.

Leaving luxury behind, the celebrities will take part in nominations and tough tasks with cameras capturing their every move.

Who will win the hearts of the nation, go all the way to the finish line and be crowned the winner?

Celebrity Big Brother will be followed each night by Celebrity Big Brother: Late and Live, giving viewers additional exclusive content.

Airing on ITV2 and ITVX, Celebrity Big Brother: Late and Live will once again be the only place to watch the famous evictees first live interview alongside an array of unmissable exclusive features including access to the camera runs, special guest commentary and debate.

Here are some of the celebrities rumoured to appear on Celebrity Big Brother:

 

Max Balegde

The star, known online as Max Balegde, posted “you might be seeing me on tele very soon” along with an eye emoji – could this be a reference to the iconic Big Brother eye?

Last year, Max entered the house for a ‘behind the scenes’ look at the site ahead of the series launch. Maybe this is his time to shine as an actual housemate?

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu

This former Love Island beauty is another name that has been mentioned.

Ekin-su is Turkish-born and currently living in Essex but spent several years of her life living in Preston.

She studied as a University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) student.

Ekin-Su, aged 27, studied a BA degree in acting at the university before graduating in 2015.

Fans have been speculating about her Big Brother appearance after she posted about a “very exciting photo shoot” she took part in earlier this month.

 

 

One fan said: “Can’t wait to see you serve in your Celebrity Big Brother promotion picture.”

Linda Robson

Speaking to a newspaper she said: "I would be up for it. I like getting away from the house.

"I don’t like being stuck in so anything to get me out of the house, any holidays. As I’m getting older, I’m 65 now, I don’t want to say no to anything and try different things now."

Louis Walsh

Louis Walsh, best known as being a judge on reality show X Factor, has reportedly been signed for the show.

This is said to be as part of a huge six-figure deal. 

Sharon Osbourne

Another former X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne has reportedly joined the Big Brother line-up.

A source reportedly told a newspaper that Sharon, wife of musician Ozzy Osbourne, “is a huge coup for the series”.

They said: “She isn’t afraid to say what’s on her mind and has a wealth of showbiz stories up her sleeves.

“She is guaranteed entertainment and sure to be a hit with viewers.”

Marisha Wallace

Big Brother is not complete without the addition of an American celebrity. Marisha is best known for her work in musical theatre.

She has appeared on Broadway shows including Aladdin, Something Rotten and Dreamgirls.

In 2022 Marisha was given an Olivier Award nomination for best actress in a supporting role for her work in Oklahoma!.

Celebrity Big Brother will start on Monday, March 4 at 9pm on ITV1, STV, ITVX and STV Player.
