The Blackburn Salvation Army Band will host a free concert to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Society.

The concert takes place on Saturday, March 2, from 7pm at the Blackburn Salvation Army on Vicar Street.

Vocalist Emily Kathryn, of ITV’s Vera fame, will be joining Seven Scintillating Saxophones and the band raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society in a retiring collection after free admission. 

Performances by Emily will include Love Changes Everything, Once Upon a Dream, Send in the Clowns and Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You, with the saxophones playing All That Jazz, Hedwig’s Theme and the theme from The Magnificent Seven. 

The band will also perform In The Mood, Moonlight Serenade and a sing-along or rap-along medley from hit musical Hamilton.

There is free parking for those attending in Starkie Street.
