An illegal off road bike was seized in Burnley after a large group took turns riding it in the area.

Burnley and Padiham Police were called to Princess Way at around 7pm on Monday, February 19, after they received reports of a large group taking turns riding the bike in the area.

The bike was then located by officers in a bush in a nearby park.

It was seized for no insurance and will be crushed in due course.

A spokesperson for Burnley and Padiham Police said: "At around 7pm yesterday , officers were called to Princess Way in Burnley to a report of a large group taking turns riding an illegal off road bike in the area.

"After a short lived game of hide and seek, the bike was located by officers in a bush in a nearby park.

"The bike was seized for no insurance and will be crushed in due course.

"We would like to express our gratitude to the same large group for keeping us company whilst awaiting recovery.
