A man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH following an alleged incident on Friday night.
Police were called to Tower Hill in Clitheroe just before 7pm on Friday (February 16) after receiving reports of an assault.
Officers attended and a woman was taken to hospital with a leg injury but has since been discharged.
Enquiries were made in the immediate area by police which resulted in a 35-year-old man, from Clitheroe, being arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "We were called to Tower Hill, Clitheroe, at 6.44pm on Friday (February 16) following reports of an assault.
"A woman was taken to hospital with a leg injury and had since been discharged.
"Following enquiries, a 35-year-old man from Clitheroe was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.
"He has since been released on conditional bail."
