Incredible drone footage shows the sheer scale of devastation caused by a fire, which ripped through several industrial units in Blackburn.
The footage was shot at around 10am on Saturday, February 17, by Graham Woods from Darwen, and provides a bird’s eye view of the fire ravaged site, on Lower Hollin Bank Street.
Images show the roof of a large building situated behind a taller brick building destroyed, while to the right, a white roof covering a longer unit has also collapsed.
Fire crews can be seen spraying water from the service’s stinger appliance from the ground, on Lower Hollin Bank Street, while other engines are visible nearby, with long lines of hose pictured running from the canal to the fire appliances.
The huge blaze broke out at around 1.30am on Saturday, and is thought to have originated in an upholstery unit, which housed sofas and other furniture, believed to have been imported from China.
Thousands of pounds worth of damage has been caused following the destruction of the main warehouse (seen on the images).
Other businesses on Lower Hollin Bank Street and in the industrial units covered by the white roofing have also been affected.
One of these includes Blackburn Power Transmissions Ltd and Blackburn and Darwen Community Transport.

Fire crews battled throughout the early hours of Saturday morning to contain the blaze and bring it under control, with eye-witnesses describing the flames as being as high as the brick buildings on the street.
Fire service personnel remained in attendance on Sunday (February 18) and it is believed that they will be present at the site until at least Monday.
It is thought the fire started in the unit belonging to UK Furniture, although this has not been confirmed.
There is also another sofa firm which is housed within one of the affected buildings, NW Sofas, but again it is not known whether this business has been affected or whether the firms are one and the same.
Attempts have been made by the Lancashire Telegraph to contact both NW Sofas and UK Furniture but to no avail.
The fire service has also said that “in the interest of privacy, we are unable to confirm which specific businesses were impacted by the fire”.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: “The fire investigation is also currently ongoing, so we are unable to offer any official comment about the cause of the fire until it is completed.”
