A prolific shoplifter has been jailed for committing 17 such offences across the county.
Benjamin Wareing, of Blackburn, was handed a 12 month community order in July last year after pleading guilty at the magistrates to eight counts of shoplifting.
The community order, imposed by District Judge Alexandra Preston also included a 10 week curfew between 7pm and 7am, a drug rehabilitation order for six months and 20 days rehabilitation activity requirement.

However, Wareing, of Lockside, Blackburn, was this week sent to jail after committing another series of shoplifting offences while subject to that community order.
The 28-year-old, who has a long history of drug abuse, and who in the past has completed drug rehabilitation courses in prison, was brought before the courts again after committing 17 shoplifting offences across Lancashire.
He was jailed for 40 weeks.
