ANYONE interested in being a candidate or agent in May's Burnley Borough Council elections has been invited to an information meeting.

There will be a briefing session at Burnley Town Hall on Thursday March 14 at 5pm (or online using Microsoft Teams).

There will be information that will help prospective candidates and agents with their role in the elections process.

The new changes effective for this election as a result of the Elections Act 2022 will also be covered, including postal vote handling and recognising and preventing undue influence and intimidation offences

Anyone interested in attending should email elections officer Alison Stirling at astirling@burnley.gov.uk by Monday February 26.
