Motorists are facing long delays heading into and out of Blackburn this week.
Utility works by ESP Electricity are taking place on Bolton Road outside the Fernhurst Pub, near Ewood Park.
There are delays for drivers into and out of Balckburn towards Darwen and the roadworks are expected to stay in place until Friday (16 February).
Traffic is backed up on Alan Shearer Way and on Bolton Road in the opposite direction.
Drivers should avoid the area at rush hour due to the four-way traffic control at the roundabout with Jack Walker Way.
The queues are proving to be frustrating for motorists as there are more lights in both directions on Bolton Road.
