A man has been arrested by detectives investigating the murder of another man.
Lenny Scott, 33, was shot outside a gym on Peel Road in Skelmersdale on the evening of Thursday, February 8.
Officers from Lancashire and colleagues from Merseyside Police carried out a warrant at an address in the Kensington area of Liverpool earlier today (Sunday, February 11) where a 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder.
He is currently in custody.
Emergency services attended the scene on Thursday where they found Lenny with serious gunshot sounds.
Lenny, from Prescot, died later in hospital.
A police spokesperson said: "Our enquiries are continuing, and we would appeal to anyone with information to come forward.
"After the shooting, the suspect made off on a bike, thought to be either an e-bike or a scrambler bike, wearing black clothing with an orange high-vis jacket.
"If you noticed anyone matching this description, or have seen any abandoned bikes in the area, please tell us as you could provide some vital information to our enquiries.
"You can call us on 101, quoting log 1155 of February 9, or in an emergency, contact 999."
