An international music events production firm has donated thousands of pounds worth of auction prizes, which include VIP tickets to see Manchester United vs Burnley, to help raise money as part of this year’s Mayor’s Charity Ball.

Accrington’s LS Music Studios has donated the star prizes to raise money for the Mayor of Hyndburn’s chosen charities at this year's Mayor's Charity Ball.

The generous donations include two hospitality tickets to see Girls Aloud at the AO Arena on May 24, 2024; two hospitality tickets to see comedian Paul Smith at the AO Arena on July 13, 2024; two tickets for a VIP box at Old Trafford to watch Manchester United vs Burnley on April 27, 2024; and eight tickets for an incredible private box experience in the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand as Manchester United take on Everton on March 9, 2024, with a full hospitality package included.

Those prizes and others will be up for grabs at the Mayor's Charity Ball, which is being held on Friday February 23 inside Accrington Stanley's hospitality venue at the Wham Stadium - an event which is already sold out.

Money raised at the event will go to Mayor Cllr Terry Hurn's chosen charities.

These include:

  • Milly's Smiles - a local group that works to support children newly diagnosed with a cancer-related illness
  • Jeffrey's Battle with Battens Disease - a crowdfunded effort to help a little boy keep going despite his illness
  • And Accrington Stanley Women - who serve as an admirable source of female empowerment for all

Alongside the generous auction prize donations, LS Music Studios has been named as a gold sponsor for the event, which will also feature a three-course dinner, entertainment and live music.

Eddy O'Brien, chief executive of LS Music Studios, said: "As a company we are extremely passionate about giving back to the local community and the Mayor's Ball presents a wonderful opportunity to raise money for some incredible charities.

"Milly's Smiles, Jeffrey's Battle with Battens Disease and Accrington Stanley Women all do fantastic work in the borough and it is good that local companies including ourselves can come together to try and raise funds to support their work.

"As chair of the Hyndburn Food Pantry I understand how important these fundraising events are and I am looking forward to a great night, where hopefully lots and lots of money is raised for three very worthy causes."

Offering everything from lighting, sound, staging and special effects, to fully managed music and theatre event production, LS Music Studios regularly work with stars around the world including Peter Kay, Ed Sheeran, John Bishop, Chris Brown and many more.

The Mayor's Charity Ball takes place on Friday, February 23 at Accrington Stanley's Wham Stadium.
