Police are appealing for information after a pub in Padiham was recently broken into.
Officers have issued an appeal after reports that The Shakespeare, on Wytham Street, was broken into.
Anyone with information has been asked to call 101.
A police spokesperson said: “We have received a report that the old Shakespeare Pub, Wytham Street has recently been broken into.”
The pub, affectionately known by locals as 'The Shake’, is currently listed as ‘permanently closed’.
Last July, the former landlord and landlady, Louise and Paul Robinson, announced that they would be leaving the pub.
They said: “It is with great sadness that we are letting you all know that The Shake will close its doors Sunday.
“We are just selling all of our stock. The only draught we have is John Smith’s. We have Fosters, Carling and Strongbow. When it's gone that's it.
“We want to thank everyone for your support throughout the years.”
If you can provide any information about the break-in contact 101 quoting reference LC-20240205-0787.
