Three people, including a teenager from Nelson have been arrested over suspected drugs offences.

On Tuesday (6 February) whilst on foot patrol, officers in Preston arrested three men following concerns of suspected drug dealing in St Anthony’s Road area.

Two males seen in an alleyway in the area were stopped but the search proved negative, said police.

A police spokesperson said: "Following a search of a nearby property, three males were arrested and a large amount of suspected Class A drugs, cash and mobile phones were recovered.

"Weapons including a knuckle duster and Rambo style knife were also seized.

"A 16-year-old boy from Nelson, a 19 year old man from Manchester and 57 year old man from Preston were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and money laundering.

"All three have been bailed whilst investigations continue."
