Officers wanted to search the man but he fled from officers instead.
The station’s automatic sliding doors did not open as fast as he could run. He ran into the door, causing it to shatter.
Police reportedly found drugs and a nine-inch knife during a search
The man was arrested and charged for possession of drugs and a knife, plus criminal damage.
A police spokesperson: “When a male at Preston decided he didn’t want to be searched and fled from officers, he failed to realise the station’s automatic sliding doors would not open as fast as he could run.
“Crash! Arrested for possession of drugs and a nine inch knife… plus criminal damage. Charged.”
