This picture gallery shows avid thrillseekers just what's in store if they are to visit Blackburn's half-term funfair, which opens in the heart of the town this evening.

Previously located at the old Thwaites brewery site in Blackburn town centre, 'Escape to Fun Island' has now moved to the Brown Street car park adjacent to the original site and will open at 5pm tonight (Thursday, February 8)

Ahead of the grand opening, local lad, Liam Mcglinn, took these amazing drone shots of the funfair, as employees worked to get the rides built safely and securely.

Liam even filmed the funfair from above, with his drone footage showing how the rides will illuminate the Blackburn skyline, and hopefully draw people in from across East Lancashire.
