An unusual view of the road into Blackburn at Salford from 1953.
The large roundabout with a lamppost in the middle was something of a landmark back then.
If you are looking to get your bearings, Church Street was straight ahead with Railway Road off to the left - the White Bull can be seen in the corner which still stands today.
One pub which has disappeared however is the Golden Lion. Blackburn market is now on the site.
