A Ribble Valley-based tech consultancy is to donate time back for every employee to spend on charitable projects.

Sundown Solutions, located on Blackburn Road, Simonstone, are involved in grassroots football and are front of shirt sponsors at Accrington Stanley Women FC, who have more than 200 players across all age groups.

The consultancy has a corporate Heart and Soul policy, which ensures the highest standards in ethical behaviour, environmental sustainability, data security and more.

They aim to make a lasting impact in surrounding communities, whether this is through donations, time, or expertise, totalling more than 300 days throughout the year in time given back.

Employees can spend their time supporting a cause close to their hearts, anything from litter picking to joining a not for profit board as a trustee.

There will also be projects with schools and education providers for employees to go in and train students, giving them their real life industry experience.

Heath Groves, CEO of Sundown Solutions, said: "Giving back has been part of Sundown's core ethos right from day one.

"We make sure we help our communities so everyone benefits as we continue to grow, and our success means we can allow staff time off to support great causes locally.

"300 days will make a huge difference locally, and I'm looking forward to see what our colleagues decide to do with their time - and what impact it will have!"
