Further details have been announced of the annual half term funfair which heads to Blackburn town centre.

Previously located at the old Thwaites brewery site in Blackburn town centre, 'Escape to Fun Island' has now moved to the Brown Street car park adjacent to the original site.

Organisers said they will be offering more than 20 rides, ranging from some of the country's most daring white-knuckle thrills to family favourites like Ice Jet, Void, Freak Out, and the Big Wheel.

Rides are extra on top of the entrance fee of £2.

Lancashire Telegraph:

A daily entertainment line-up will include performances by Smilie the Clown, magic shows, balloon modelling and dinosaurs.

Escape to Fun Island will run from Thursday February 8 for 10 days with opening hours of 5pm to 9pm on the first two nights and then from 1pm to 9pm.

Organisers ask people to use public transport where possible or opt for The Mall or Fielding Street car parks, located near the event site.

Entrance tickets and ride tokens, including special offers for advance purchases, are available online. Tokens are priced at just £1, with rides costing between two to five tokens each.
