Two men have been charged after drugs and a large quantity of cash were found in a car, that had been travelling on the M6.

Police stopped a car on Winwick Road in Warrington, on February 3.

£40,000 cash and a quantity of cannabis were reportedly seized from an Audi A6.

Eamir Rexhepi, 35, and Anti Bitris, 30, both of Station Road, London, have been charged with possession of a class B drug with intent to supply and acquire/use/possess criminal property.

They were remanded to appear before Preston Magistrates Court today (February 5).

A police spokesperson said: “Two men have been charged after drugs and cash were [allegedly] found in a car which had been travelling on the M6.

“Approximately £40,000 cash and a quantity of cannabis were [reportedly] seized from an Audi A6 on Saturday, February 3, on Winwick Road, Warrington.

“Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, Eamir Rexhepi, 35, and Anti Bitris, 30, both of Station Road, London, have been charged with possession of a class B drug with intent to supply and acquire/use/possess criminal property.

“Both men have been remanded to appear before Preston Magistrates Court today (February 5).”
