Officers have seized a stolen Ford Puma ST with false plates.
The Bolton North Neighbourhood Team discovered the vehicle this morning and found that the car had been stolen from Oswaldtwistle.
Police will now carry out forensic tests while enquiries remain ongoing to identify those involved.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police Bolton North said: “This morning, officers from Bolton North Neighbourhood Team have sniffed out this stolen motor vehicle found in Breightmet.
“The vehicle was displaying false plates, but checks confirmed that it has recently been stolen from Oswaldtwistle.
“It will be forensically recovered, and enquiries will be ongoing to help identify the offenders.”
