A new deal has been signed to keep a well known outdoor clothing brand in Blackburn town centre.

Signs had gone up in November that the Trespass store would close in the town centre after six years.

But The Mall Blackburn said it had this week ensured the popular outdoor specialist would continue its tenure in the shopping centre.

The announcement comes as another boost for the town centre following the announcement that a new B&M Bargains store would take up the spot vacated by Wilko.

A spokesperson for the Mall said: “Over recent months both our agency team and the property team at Trespass have worked hard to ensure that both parties are confident to continue to their working relationship.

“This will ensure that this popular store will continue to offer it’s wide range of products to this part of Lancashire, and all at The Mall are keen to ensure the success of this retailer over the forthcoming years.”

Trespass, which specialises in skiwear, waterproof jackets, fleeces, festival accessories, walking boots and camping gear, was founded in the 1990s and now has more than 300 stores worldwide.
