You can almost sense the excitement just by looking at this photo.
Taken in the 1950s, it shows families eagerly gathering up their belongings as a train pulls in to Blackburn station.
It was taken during the annual Wakes Week holiday and the train would be one of the many excursions heading to Blackpool.
The photo is a fascinating piece of social history - notice how everyone is in their Sunday best for their holidays. And look at all the fabulous station clocks whatever happened to them all?
