A teenager has been arrested, after several young people were hospitalised after using unregulated vapes in Morecambe and Lancaster.
In recent weeks, officers received reports of five teenagers falling ill and being hospitalised, after using unregulated vapes.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested in Morecambe yesterday (Thursday, January 25) on suspicion of supplying a controlled drug.
He has since been released under investigation.
A police spokesperson said: “Earlier this week Lancashire Police warned parents of the dangers of unregulated vapes after several young people were taken ill in Morecambe and Lancaster.
“In recent weeks, our officers received reports of five teenagers having fallen ill and requiring hospital treatment.
“To update you, a 16-year-old boy was arrested in Morecambe yesterday (Thursday, January 25) on suspicion of supplying a controlled drug.
“He has since been released under investigation.
“We continue to urge parents to be vigilant and will be working with local schools and partners.”
