Red Lion, Whitebirk, 1953
One of East Lancashire’s oldest pubs had been given a makeover when this photo was taken in 1953.
The Red Lion at Whitebirk was believed to date back to the 1735 and continued to operate as a pub until 2021.
It subsequently became a MyLahore restaurant the following year.
