Police are looking to speak with a woman pictured in a CCTV image following a racially-aggravated assault and harassment. 

The incident is believed to have happened near Pioneer car park in Burnley town centre in October last year with Lancashire police now issuing an appeal about the attack.

Police say a racially aggravated assault and a racially aggravated harassment offence was reported to them on October 31, 2023, with the incident believed to have taken place on October 19. 

Officers are now looking to speak with the woman in connection with the incident and are asking for the public's help to identify her.

She is described as around 5'3 tall and of a slim build, and in the picture, has long blonde/brown hair and looks to be wearing a nose ring. 

Sharing a picture online, a spokesperson for the police said:  "Do you recognise this woman?

"We would like to speak to her in connection with a racially-aggravated assault, and racially-aggravated harassment.

"A racially-aggravated assault, and a racially-aggravated harassment near the Pioneer car park in Burnley town centre on October 19, 2023, was reported to us October 31, 2023."
