Two Lancashire policewomen will be surprised with a message from Manchester City and England footballer Jack Grealish, as they take part in an ITV quiz show.
Adele and Adele, who are cousins, had their sights set on organising a lavish family holiday for more than 40 people, when they competed in the new series of ITV show Ant and Dec’s Limitless Win, which was filmed a while ago, but airs tonight.
Sharing more than just a name and a profession, the pair, who will appear on the ITV quiz show this evening (Saturday, January 20), say they are more like sisters, with one saying: “I taught her everything she knows, good and bad. Mostly bad!”
During tonight's show, Adele tells Ant and Dec she is a big fan of Manchester City and as a police officer, even gets to work at some of the games.
She says: “I’d do it for free, but I’ve not told them that.”
She goes on to say she was once stood in the tunnel next to the Premier League trophy and she, “so wanted to touch it and get a selfie”, but remained professional.
Ant echoes her frustration - being so close to the trophy and not being able to get a picture - and goes on to tell the cousins they have a special message from somebody at the club.
Adele and Adele are then left shocked, when forward Grealish appears on the screen, saying: “Good luck on Ant and Dec’s Limitless Win, we’ll all be cheering you on from Man City.
“I’ve arranged a little surprise for you, over to Ant and Dec.”
To Adele’s jubilation, the Premier League trophy is then revealed in the studio, and while they still cannot touch it, Adele is finally able to get her selfie.
Ant and Dec also got involved in the picture and admitted: “This might be the closest we ever get to taking a photo with the Premier League trophy.”
The pair remarked that it had made their day, with Dec cheekily adding: “Now, if you could just head straight to St James’ Park, that’d be amazing!”
