Here’s a photo which will bring back a few memories for anyone who regularly visited Blackburn town centre.
Taken in the summer of 1979, this photo shows part of Blackburn’s shopping centre.
You can see both the white tiles which clad much of the centre and the brick walkways which added colour to the centre but which were also extremely slippy when it rained.
Do you recognise any of the shops you can see here?
We’d love to hear your memories of the shopping centre in the late 70s and early 80s. What were your favourite shops at the time? Send your memories and any photographs to bygones@nqnw.co.uk or leave a comment.
