This slightly battered photo from 1983 shows one of the 44 concrete beams which were needed for the construction of a bridge over M65 near Burnley.
On the left of the picture you can see the massive beams being laid out having been lifted into place by specialist cranes.
How many of you remember the chaos those beams caused when they were transported to the site on special lorries which required a police escort?
