In recent weeks we have featured a number of photographs of Blackburn Boulevard over the years.

These have proved very popular with Looking Back readers which has encouraged us to delve into the archive for more pictures of this crucial ‘transport hub’ over the years.

Lancashire Telegraph: Blackburn bus and railway station in 1965

There is a certain irony that for decades Blackburn had both bus and train services in close proximity for decades. You could literally step off a train and catch your bus home.

Although the current bus station hasn’t moved too far away, it is no longer part of the Boulevard.

If you have any photos of the Boulevard over the years, we’d love to share them with Looking Back readers. Email them to bygones@nqnw.co.uk or leave a comment
