Pictures have emerged of a former pub in Hapton, which has been transformed into an hair and beauty salon, and aesthetics training academy.
Cosmetic Aesthetics Limited has taken over the former Bentleywood Farm and Ploughman’s Table pub, in Accrington Road.
Business owner Michelle Green spent a year refurbishing the site and it now looks unrecognisable, complete with its own ‘Instagram-friendly’ areas that will look great in a picture.
She said: “I kept driving past the pub and thinking that it would make an amazing beauty centre.
“Everybody knows the site in the area from when it was a pub. So many people are coming up to us asking if they can have a look around. It seems to be a huge talk of the town at the minute.
“It looks unrecognisable.”
The 45-year-old, who previously operated her business from The Globe Centre in Accrington, said she stripped the site “back to its bare bones” while renovating.
She: said: “It’s been hard and stressful, as the place is huge. I didn’t realise how hard it would be to renovate a place like this, but we got there in the end so I am happy.
“Clients walk in and say it is looks unbelievable. There are specific ‘Instagrammable’ areas where people can take selfies and upload pictures to social media.
“I want people to see how beautiful it is and also explore the opportunities there are here to visit and work with us.”
The site, which officially opened in October, has five treatment rooms and an office where the team can work on the brand’s social media accounts.
Michelle is particularly proud of the two training academies at the site, which will be used to train young people and give them chance to become entrepreneurs in the growing beauty industry
Upstairs there is a hairdressing salon, as well as nail and beauty treatments.
Fillers, fat dissolving, laser hair removal, tattoo removal, semi-permanent makeup, air, nails, eyelash extensions are just some of the treatments on offer.
Michelle, from Accrington, said: “I don’t think there are many places like this, a ‘one stop beauty spot’ which offers absolutely everything.”
“We even have a decking area which we have big plans for in the summer. We plan to use our fire pit and make it a place where clients can sit outside with a drink. It’s all very exciting.”
Michelle, who has around 27 years of experience in the industry, said she can’t wait to see her business flourish at the site.
She said: “I have gradually built my business over the years and we do keep up with the times and trends, as we want to make our clients the happiest they can be.
“Now I employ 12 people and have a large site for the business to grow.”
