Audley 1988
A major clearance programme took place around the Audley Range area of Blackburn in 1988.
This photo shows Lower Audley Street heading off towards the top of the photo with Park Road going off to the right.
One lone terrace remained standing, although work had clearly begun on demolishing it.
Blackburn Ice Arena would be built on the cleared land with Asda and a retail park next to it. Darwen Street Bridge was off to the left.
