More than 100 restaurants in Blackburn with Darwen have five-star ratings awarded by the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

Currently there are 124 restaurants, cafes and canteens which have a five out of five rating for food hygiene with inspectors examining food handling, the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building, and management of food safety.

A five-star rating from the FSA is the highest rating that can be given, meaning hygiene and food safety at the premises is either "good" or "very good".

The Lancashire Telegraph often writes stories when individual takeaways get new food hygiene ratings but here is a full list of all the restaurants with five-star ratings.

This means that there will be some establishments included on the list whose last inspection may have been several years ago.
