There are some lost pubs in East Lancashire which have gained an almost legendary status.
We suspect that this might be one of them.
Taken in 1985, this photo shows what was then Swords in Burnley's Market Square. The pub was also know as The Broadsword and was an essential part of the town centre nightlife for a number of years.
It also regularly hosted live music events.
On the left of the picture you can see the entrance to the Studio Cinema.
If you were a Swords regular we'd love to hear more about the place - it certainly looks full of character. Leave a comment or email bygones@nqnw.co.uk
