Police say they are concerned for the welfare of a teenager who has been missing for over a week.

Adnan Ahmed, who sometimes also goes by the name ‘Asif Khan’, was last seen leaving Blackburn Central High School, in his school uniform at around 3pm on Thursday 21 December. His uniform included a white shirt, purple tie and black blazer.

He is described as 5ft 11in, of slim build with dark curly hair. He also sometimes wears glasses.

He’s known to have links to both Blackburn and Accrington.

A police spokesperson said: "There have been lots of enquiries we’ve completed offline in the time that Adnan has been missing, before sharing his image and asking for the public’s help today.

"This offline investigation has included various checks, door-to-door and CCTV enquiries. We’re now in a position to ask for further help to bring Adnan home.
