We love this photo which shows the ticket office at Blackburn Station.
There is something wonderfully evocative about its curved frontage and all the signage.
Sadly we don’t have a date for when the picture was taken. Any ideas?
A London Saver ticket was being advertised at £16 and a ‘Runabout Season Ticket’ offering seven consecutive days’ travel to the Lakes and the Lancashire coast was £13, if that helps.
Do you remember the ticket office when it looked like this?
If you can date the photo, email bygones@nqnw.co.uk or leave a comment.
